The last few weeks I haven't had much of an appetite, I've actually lost a few pounds since I found out I was pregnant. But today I couldn't get enough to eat and my stomach was constantly rumbling. I've been trying to avoid fast food, but Taco Bell sounded so darn good, Eric is bringing some home for me (such a sweet hubby).
I noticed the first signs of food aversion 2 nights ago, when Eric tried serving me some vidalia onion BBQ sauce with my veggie burger, the thought of it almost made me lose my appetite, as did the sight of the brown mustard he had sitting out.
Luckily I haven't had any morning sickness yet, just slight queasiness. I never threw up when I was pregnant with Ellis, I read somewhere that 20% of women don't experience morning sickness so I suppose I'm one of the fortunate ones.
I'm breaking out pretty bad though, so I'm not getting off that easy. I literally woke up yesterday morning to at least 10 new zits scattered across my face, Eric claims they're not that noticeable but I beg to differ. Hopefully this is a short-lived phase.
Well I took a quick break from this to go eat my food Eric brought me, so now I'm overly full and about ready to call it a night . G'night.

*michele

Extreme non-energy....

Feeling pretty sluggish today, wanna call it a night already and it's not even 5:3O! I recall the first trimester as being my least fave of the three, my only vague recollection of it is passing out on the living room floor every night after dinner. For me the best way to describe the first trimester is that it's like having very bad PMS......that lasts for three months. Definitely enjoyed the latter months better.
Another thing about early pregnancy was I didn't like not looking pregnant. Any other time I'm struggling to conceal belly flab and suck it in, when your pregnant it's almost a relief to finally let that big ol' belly hang out and happily watch it grow. I couldn't wait to get the "bump", and I'm looking forward to it once again.
Alright it's about time I cut this short, need to get something going for dinner and remove my son from my dresser which he's very quickly destroying. Until next time....

*michele

Greetings!

Hello everybody, as the title of my blog states I am indeed pregnant, about 6 weeks to be exact, and have decided to keep a blog chronicling my preggy experiences. This is baby number two for me, my first being a gorgeous two year old boy named Ellis, who has already learned to say "I'm a big brother", ha! My husband, Eric, and I are pretty excited, Ellis was a cesarean baby, and we were told to wait two years before trying to conceive again. So here we are, two years and three months and 10-13 early detection tests after Ellis' second birthday with another one on the way....Several blue lines and even a blatant digital *PREGNANT* reading told us so..
So far I've been feeling ok, tired, slightly queasy, somewhat oily-faced, zit speckled and constipated (all the iron in the OTC pre-natals I've been taking). But all in all I'm not feeling "pregnant" yet, or at least haven't been blasted by an arsenal of preggy side effects. I've been kinder to my body lately, gave up my caffeine vice, which wasn't nowhere near as agonizing as I thought it would be, and am now on mostly decaffeinated teas and water. I'm trying to eat more balanced meals, cut back on salt, and increase my fiber (a counter to that pesky constipation I mentioned). I'm also trying to get in some more walking, trying to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we've been having.
Well I'll keep this short, I have 34 weeks to go so I'll have plenty more time to write later. Thinking of taking a cat nap now until Ellis wakes up from his! Until later then..
*michele
